I know the past few posts have been very scripture heavy, so I wanted to share some other things that I enjoy. Since this blog is called Faith In Everyday I will be including posts on things going on in my life, recipes that my family enjoys and encouraging words.
Our family does a "Brinner" (Breakfast for Dinner) at least once every two weeks. I personally could have breakfast food anytime, I love it. So, the other day we decided to do pancakes for Brinner, but my husband had the great idea to make them like crepes. He is always coming up with different combinations and ideas, I am truly blessed with a husband who is amazing in the kitchen!
I personally have never enjoyed the taste of true crepes (I know, I know. Not a great thing to admit since I have french ancestry!) Strawberry-Nutella Pan-Crepes is the consistency and style of a crepe but the taste of a pancake. I like mine wrapped with Nutella and Strawberries while my husband and son eat them plain.
With the help of Bisquick, it is a really easy recipe!
Strawberry-Nutella Pan-Crepes
Makes 10-15 Pan-Crepes
Ingredients:
2 Cups Bisquick Mix
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cup Milk (Start with 1 Cup and gradually add the rest)
1-2 Tbl Per Crepe of Nutella
Directions:
Stir in Bisquick, eggs and 1 Cup of Milk until combined.
Add the remainder of the milk gradually until it is a thin consistency. It needs to be able to drip off of the spoon.
Heat oil in a medium sized sauté pan and move pan until the oil covers layers the pan.
Reduce medium, medium-high heat.
Pour 1/8 Cup of batter at a time into pan.
Quickly move batter around until it covers the entire bottom.
When the top is almost fully covered in bubbles (after 15-30 seconds depending on your heat and the thickness of the batter), flip the crepe over.
Heat on the other side for half as much time as the first side.
Remove from pan.
Repeat until all of the batter is used.
Fill with Nutella and Strawberries. Roll.
The first few Pan-Crepes are always my trials to adjust the thickness of the crepe. The more batter you put into the pan the thicker its going to be, which is harder to roll.
Remove from pan.
Repeat until all of the batter is used.

Yum! I remember serving ice cream for breakfast once in a while for fun! My mom used to give us leftovers, so it was not unusual to eat a hamburger for breakfast.
