Comparisons Part 1: The Grass Is Never Greener

I truly believe that in todays age of modern technology we are a generation bombarded with the "picture perfect" aspects of others lives: on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter everyone carefully forms each photo, message and tweet to make others believe something about them.

This happens to everyone whether we are consciously aware of it or not. I mean who wouldn't want to put their best face forward for the entire world to see? For our employers, future employers, friends and family to see.
The problem with this is that we start to blur the line of reality and a single moment in time of a well crafted photo. We start to believe that the perfection we see on social media is all there is, and that we fail to measure up.
